Feeling the wind through
my hair as I sit next to you in
your car of wonder.

I see you driving steadily
on the road trying to
make sense of of all this
rain and thunder.

You look at me and take
my hand and reassure me
of all your hopes and dreams.

I nod and smile, trying
to make you happy by
putting on my repeated scheme.

But I'm still questioning
why we are running away
from our fears.

I want to as you but I'm too
scared. That's when I start
to feel the falling tears.

You ask me why I'm crying
and you tell me not to
be afraid.

How many times you have
told me this and I believed
everything you said.

Finally I confess to you
that I'm not scared, I'm
just confused.

You tell me I don't
look a bit confused,
all I look is abused.
