The sky a brilliant blue
The clouds floating up so high
The sun glaring down upon you
All the while you sit alone
All alone in that park
On that cold bench
The wind whispers in your ear
Telling you to go ahead
Go do it, it persuades
Do the unthinkable
On that lonely walk home
You see the children in the park
Playing laughing and having fun
Thinking back to the days
When it would be that easy
When everything went plain and easy
And everyday wasn’t pain
Sitting at home
On that hard chair
All alone once again
Picking up the phone
You think to yourself
Who cares?
I’m all alone
Crawling up the steps
You slip into the bathroom
All alone
You start the water
Opening the cabinet
You open the bottles
Sliding 10 then 15 down your throat
You glide into the water
Picking the phone up again
You dial the number
The number you will say your final goodbye to
She picks up the phone
“Hello?”
You hear faintly in the background
The medicine is kicking in
In your final words of conciseness
You whisper out
I love you
Slamming down the phone
She runs to your house
Kicking down the door
And running up the stairs
She pulls you out of the water
And breathing into your lungs
Screaming out loud into the air
She calls for help
The sky turns black
You’re outside
Tied down to that hard board
No longer alone
She had saved your life
And brought you back from the dead
“Poets Note…this is about how you should never…NEVER, Feel that you are
alone. Someone will always be there for you and never think different.
There are 5 people in this world that would die for you and another 15 that
love you. You are never alone! Now with this new kick I was in…is it any
better then the mushy stuff?
