Shadow's Dawn

The world turns to darkness,
The shadows envelope us,
Will we survive this eternal night
And re-emerge into the light of day?

Will we be doomed to stay here forever,
Dreading the rise of the sun,
While our brothers and sisters live on in their lives
Knowing nothing of our fear.

Will we be trapped in the twilight,
Never knowing the sun's great light?
Or will we arise from the darkness,
And banish our eternal night.

Rise to our realms O sun,
Shine your glory upon us.
Let us know the light that we once lost,
Living in the shadows for far too long.

A new age begins with the dawn,
The sun shines bright and strong.
But how long will it's glory last,
Before it too is diminished...

Shine on great sun,
Shine us in your resplendence....
Lasting only too long,
Before it is gone and our darkness takes us at last.
