A Lifetime

Tears down her face,
He cannot understand.
Her pain has lasted a liftime,
And was born in lifetimes past.

They all say they care,
But she cannot believe them.
She has been lied to before,
She wont be lied to again.

So when he says he cares,
She turns and walks away.
Her pain has lasted her lifetime,
A liftime that ended today.

She could not take it anymore,
And so she drew her most favored friend,
A blade meant for stabbing,
It took her life in the end.

She plunged it deep into her withered heart,
And as it slowly stopped beating,
She said silently she was sorry
To him and all the rest.

All she needed was love,
In a world where she could find none.
A broken heart was mended,
Only as her life finally ended.
