All I Can Do

I am a world weary soul,
And I am far to young to have such burdens,
Yet I bear them in silence,
Not shedding a tear.

I hold my grief deep
Just like my love.
I keep it close,
Turn it from enemy into friend.

These burdens I bear become far too much,
Surely I shall stumble along this little trodden path.
No one to guide me,
No one that cares.

All I need is someone to care.
I am a lost cause,
Someone find me,
Harbor me,
Make me whole.
Let me feel love again,
Let me see the light again.

My path's not much trodden,
And I am all alone.
But I am not afraid,
Not afraid for my soul.
It is my heart that suffers,
It withers and weeps.

My path's little traveled,
And my burdens are heavy.
Onward I trudge,
It is all I can do.
