Kissing in the moonlight,
As it starts to rain.
The sun singing on the mountain,
They each forget their pain.

They loved each other greatly,
And their love was strong,
But fate was against them,
Its a shame it would not last long.

Her heart was heavy laden,
With old burdens from long ago.
His heart held a fresh wound,
She brought him through it though.

They made each other happy,
As none but a soul mate will.
And woefully their love was doomed
But they lived on still.

In both joy and in pain,
They stayed together.
For though love is rough,
It will last both bright, and stormy weather.

It was not weather that plagued them,
But fate itself.
Her heart was long un-used,
And she had only taken it from its shelf.

His heart was used to love,
But never had it lasted so long.
Her heart was damaged and twice repaired,
But still it was quite strong.

Their love was true,
And the sun did set upon their story.
But I shall not spoil the ending,
Of their heartfelt strength and glory.
