trapped again, the shackles at my cut and bleeding ankles
death has called for me, my mind pays no such attention
time creeps by slowly and the sun sinks below the horizon for its rest while
the new moon lets light, an eerie blue light flood into the darkened room
a sigh escapes followed by a half hearted sob
look up to the old rotting roof where the moss has settled and the beetles
have silently hidden
footsteps in the shadows where the homeless wander in search of food or
maybe money
the pain reaches the nerves again
and more pain enters through the opened cuts
the spirits float about the old town watching the dying people reach their
final limit
the dead silence is loud when all you can hear is the sound of your lonely
beating heart and sounds of last taken breath
the red fluid trickling down my flesh and I feel the shackles suddenly
tighten
two arms strangle my insides, the devil's advocate laughing that
hauntingly sinicle laugh again and again
it echoes throughout this lonely temple reminding me that my life is going
to be cut so short
tighter again, bones crush, heart beats, eyes shut, teeth clench, mind
races, memories creep
heart stops, white light, away from earth I begin to fly
