One cut, two, even more;
Blood flows brightly this night,
The night that I die.
My body cries,
Cries crimson tears.
And yet I still live on.
What must I do to leave this world?

I cast myself into the fire
The glowing fire of my fallen love's pyre.
The flames lick me,
Consume me.
And yet I still do not die.

I throw myself into the boundless ocean.
Feel the salt fill my lungs,
And yet I go on breathing.
I whom the gods cursed to live forever,
Live forever while my lover hath died.
