Familiar, Yet Unknown

the scent was so familiar, eerily it was life a ghost.
the surroundings, i've seen before, the sunset as warm as a kiss by the
ocean's shore
the pictures i want to put out of my mind, the same blackened eyes stare at
me, picturistic memory inside my head, like it was one time before
unknown destiny yet to be discovered, unknown lovers yet to be uncovered
from life's clear globe
faded painting, familiar face, smile can't be hidden
rocks and stones where lives of other's are carved, dead wood where
dreams have yet to be dreamt are kept
golden stairs, goals have yet to be gotten, but your face will never be
forgotten
