The Night

Winds calmly blowing across the sun crest sea
As the sun set upon that night
Darkness quickly filled the brightened skies
As all hope I had fell that day

I sat down on the beach
And cried for you to be there
I looked to the heavens above for a light
Yet clouds of black covered the once clear sky

Long I sat upon that beach
Long I had waited for some light
Long I starred into the mesmerizing waves

Deep into the hour I waited
Pondering my mind’s true wants
Feeling a dark omen shadow over me

Slowly out to sea I go
Tears of forgiveness running down my face
Deeper I go
The night caressing my once gentle soul

Now head deep
A smile slips upon my face
Still walking
I slip into my grave..
