Against the wall, sitting alone
passerbies eyes turn to stone
lonely gazes toward the clouds forming
reveal its soon to be storming
with the rain beginning to soak into my clothes
I think of all the things no one knows
all the things no ones considered
Sitting in the rain
it drains away the pain
soaked with thoughts anew
I remember the love I had for you
The air is fresh
I've cleansed my flesh
my fears are gone
I'm no longer alone
The passerbies say hello
and half of them I don't know
things have returned to normal
sitting in the sun
it brings back everyone
I feel like me again
but this is not the end
days pass by and I again am lost to stares
once again no one cares
In this drought of sorrow I withdraw
Its inevitable, I don't belong
Sitting in the rain
brings back the pain
my time here has expired
I've sat too long and have grown tired
Now the passerbies wonder
"Did he leave with the thunder?"
All they have is the dry spot on the wall
but there was something good in what they saw
"He's up and left," one of them said
"the battle finally subsides within his head.
Hes found peace with himself."
