That day when the blood that you shed was to save another life, I knelt my
head to cry
And when America lost a piece of its happiness, I'm sorry you
didn't get to say good-bye
You're in our minds today and everyday, we cry our tears, and we pray
at night, we try to put the horrific images out of our minds
Life has changed, it shall never be the same, we the strength to fight back,
but the presence of our loved ones is the only thing that we lack
The heroes of that day, we owe them so much, we owe them our tears, our
faith, and our love
Men, women, children, my friends, you'll be in our hearts until the
very end and if I die today, I'll see you in heaven and if I die
tomorrow, your heart shalln't be in sorrow
Sometimes I stand, the rain trickling down my skin, knowing that what they
did to you was a bloody sin
Your spirits shall live on, I can tell you that, the tears that I cry, I
won't regret
If only we knew what would happen that dark morning then maybe your lives
would be spared and we wouldn't be mourning
You spread your angel wings and you flew away, and I'm still thinking
of those heroes today
