Where I'll fail to be

Spread before my eyes I see,
A snow white landscape,
with naught,
But me.
The cold gnaws hungrily,
upon my bones,
as buried memories,
as tears,
they fall.
Trudging through,
to Promised Land,
I seek the days of my youth.
Where mistakes would not be made again,
And life be treasured instead.
Yet before me,
An angel stands,
A sneer marring his face,
Throwing me back to where I belong,
He screamed,
Never come back again.
