~Just so you guys know, this is written in the view point of a guy, not a
girl
I was out one day, lost,
But I had to get away.
I walked into the street,
Not paying attention to anything,
And I was almost hit by a car.
A girl jumped out,
Who looked as wild as her car.
She asked me if I was alright,
And I took a moment to answer her.
She had long fiery copper hair,
And as she took of her sun glasses,
She had eyes like the sea.
Her skin was pale,
And lovely, I was in awe.
She was tall and slender,
With a long neck, adorned in jewels.
I told her that I was alright,
And she asked me where I was going.
I told her that I didn't know,
And she smiled at me,
And told me to get in her car.
We drove around for hours,
Talking about everything and nothing at all.
In the silence of our conversation,
We grew to know each other.
I found myself standing outside her house everyday,
Even when she wasn't home.
Whenever she saw me there,
She would let me in,
And we would sit in her incense flavoured room,
Drinking in the sound of her wind chymes.
I knew that I was falling in love,
With this free spirit of a girl.
I noticed her writing one day,
And asked her what it was.
She said it was a poem,
And I asked her what it was about.
She smiled wickedly,
And said it was the story of us.
Years went by,
And still she wrote that poem.
I asked her one day why it wasn't finished,
As we lay curled together.
She answered, Because we are not finished.
I smiled at her adoringly,
And kissed her writing hand.
We lay like that for ever it seemed,
As she told our story,
With exaggerated flourishes,
And tears that sprang from the very page it seemed.
~Dedicated to my boyfriend, Jon, whom I love with all my heart, and my very
soul.
