My message conveyed
Through the writingds of my word
I tell the stories of my life
That go otherwise unheard
Your message you sent
Left posted on my door
Proved we're further apart now
Then we've ever been before
The message on the machine
Was the morgue asking for me
It was about my brother
They want me to identify the body
The message board I own
Leaves me with a number of things to do
But first and foremost I think
I"ll spend some time with you
Get the message I'm sending
Post its of emotional needs
Show me that you care
Otherwise I'll leave
My message conveyed
Is crying out for hope
Answer my call for life and love
By just throwing me a rope
I got your message
I'm glad you're back in town
For now so long and farewell
Perhaps I'll see you around
