A shooting star brought him to my door,
Covered in star dust,
Glazed in breeze,
And half opened eyes.
He couldn't see past,
What he didn't believe,
But he did feel sorrow,
For me.
He looked at me like I was an alien,
Like I wasn't something of this earth,
The hurt that I saw in his eyes,
I saw he had said many goodbyes.
He touched me gently
To see what I was made of.
Looking me up and down,
Then he finally undid his frown.
He took my hand and raised it high,
Bringing us together,
Making our beings tie,
Until the sun did rise.
I'll never forget the moment he left,
Seeing him fly through the sky.
Looking me back,
Straight in the eye.
Letting me know he would be watching,
From above he would never let me fall.
I knew are lives would always be one,
He gave me something that I could only
....Dream of
