The television was breathing
through air made of glass
the girl travelling closer
was recorded from a vision
dying to see her clearly

The terror of the war sounds
and when the clock struck twelve
the cops banged down the front door
searched the place with caution
though they could not find
what they were looking for
she knew it lurked up there

Next thing she knew,
they were gone
and her peculiar boyfriend
was crawling to the dead TV
in hopes it would survive
