Diamond Tears

Like diamonds falling out of a green sea,
She cries with unyielding sorrow.
She's all alone,
In her world of hate,
For everyone to tease and taunt.
She cries for safety,
And she cries for peace.
But the children still stand around her,
Laughing and pointing.
She tries to block out their jeers,
With her own screams.
But as she runs away,
She can still hear them laughing in her head.
When she gets home,
She has no ones arms that she can run into, crying.
She is all alone.
Left to fend for herself,
No one cares for this lost child.
She wanders the streets,
Searching for a companion,
But there is no one to be found.
Years later,
She is but ten,
But she has the eyes of a woman,
In the body of a child,
Forced to grow older at such a young age.
Now any compassion that once lived in her,
Has vanished, she has become like ice.
Her diamond tears,
Now draw blood.
