speeding down the highway
the ecstasy of life is beneath your hands
loosely gripped on the steering wheel
the sky smiles over head
a lamp over veiwing the treasure map you hike on
unto your very wanting
the road runs rapidly beneath four tires
you are enjoying this moment of life

turn up the radio
the sounds fills your ears, wine into barrells
the wood soaks up the rhythyms like
a dry tongue to water
you grin
because you're happy
pressing down the pedal further
the more it goes down, the happier you become
you are enjoying this moment of life

your body moves to the beats
loosely poised in the chair, swaying to the music
the road runs faster beneath your cadillac
like a ribbon
being ripped away from a present by a
five year old girl
you are enjoying this moment of life

hands let go of the wheel
and rise up into the air
congratulating the above on such a wonderful day
the sky is blue
just like your eyes
the grass is green
the very element that you so blessedly lack
you are enjoying this moment of life

and as you go faster now
the heartbeat of the motor pounding like a hammer to nail
you dont see the tree
and you crash into it
a firey blaze of what you are now
dead
are you enjoying this moment of death?

thank you

*~*SO sorry it was that long and drawn out. when i started, i didnt mean for
it to be so effin long, but when i started writing, i couldnt stop.
