Water is his Deathbed

I don’t really remember it
But it was a summer day
When you drifted into that water
Thinking, it's ok

Everyone was in the house
Getting ready to leave
Except for you who ran out
Yet you didn’t leave just me

So I went out with you
For a little swim
Thinking it was ok

As you ran out on the deck
You fell off, but I was only 10 months old
So I didn’t care
Why didn’t you come back?

As everybody ran outside
To find out what’s that splash?
My uncles and father ran in the water
Trying to save what had happened

As my mother called 9-1-1
Someone picked me up
So I started crying
Because this wasn’t fun!

My uncle began the Heimlich maneuver
We all became so scared
I wish this day would start over
But this was 13 years ago

Then I see this ambulance boat
Bringing so many waves
To come and save my brother

Hurry! Save the him!
I will never forget that day
Because its when he died;
It’s the day everyone cried

* In loving memory to my brother Timothy. May he rest in peace always and
forever *
