A Love Poem

The happiness you force
So impatiently it seems
Creates an everlasting loss
In which you will never feel.

One day as the summer
Transitions to a peaceful fall
I will forget you
And all you had to offer.

The words I spoke didn't mean anything.
Not to me at least.
Please, do not hold me accountable.
I doubt I could live with the pain.

I truly believed I loved
And wanted you.
But teenage hearts, are too hard to fill.
In which you couldn't succeed.

I have fallen in love once again.
Knowing it is actually real.
My fate is not with you
But with her.

I will not regret
Any episode in which follows
Because this dead love
Will not mean anything to you, one day.
