She turned her face away from the light a long time ago,
Knowing that grace would never shine down on her.
She is lost in her efforts,
To find redemption.
Because her soul,
Is as black as the night,
In which she chose to dwell.
Her body has been broken,
And her spirit died,
But still she struggles on.
Knowing full well,
That no one can heal her,
They will never ignore her scars.
And she, can never be redeemed.
So she looses herself daily,
In the euphoria of her blade,
And the cool sensation,
Of her blood running down her skin.
Her heart is filled with self hatred,
And a sense of regret,
For something and someone,
Who she could never be.
She runs out to clubs,
Where the beat of the bass,
Can dissolve her troubles away.
She finds herself in the arms of strangers,
But that doesn't matter,
She lost her self respect long ago.
