Down the Street to Nowhere

I don’t want this to sound too sappy,
But I want to make you happy.
I wish I had a soul to sell,
But I don’t, so I guess only time will tell.
There isn’t anything I can do,
I can’t even say these words to you.
There isn’t anything I can say,
To make it not turn out this way.
I spill so many tears of remorse,
Somebody must have jumped in and changed the course.
I can yell and scream and cry in frustration,
My blood and tears aiding toleration.
The more I try to change,
The more I become deranged.
I try not to cry,
And instead take a sigh.
I walk down the street to nowhere,
Hoping to find you there.
