What Would You Do?

What would you do
if someone you knew
Told you it wasn't worth it,
that your dreams were worthless and unobtainable.

Would you believe them
and throw them all away?
Would you give up and forget
Stop reaching and let yourself completely fall?

...or...

Would you forget them
And follow your heart and dreams?
Would you continue on your quest
And beleive that you can make it?

...well...

I would listen to myself and no one else.
Just because the dreams seem unrealistic,
they can still be obtained eventually.
With time, patience, hard-work, and hope.

Just because my wings have been
Ripped, torn, and damaged,
Doesn't mean I can't go on.
I may not be able to fly back up as easily.
But I still can live and continue.

Just because I am broken,
Doesnt mean I can't go on.
It may take some more work.
But I will still succeed on this journey.

Just because I have fallen,
Doesn't mean I can't go on.
It may take some time to climb back up,
But I will rise and make it.

Just because I am damaged, broken, fallen, and alone,
Doesn't mean I should give up.
I may have to work harder,
But I will, eventually, get to the end.
