The Curse of His Rose

A mistake of immortality, I thought to outwit my God

Ways I dreamt to teach him, twist him to satisfy human desire

Resulted in the end of my path, damnation embedded in my fate

I am bound to this black rose, with it's haunting thorns

In a cage of crystal, preening in its own allure and glory

Cursed were my dreams of this broken flower, which I despised

The truth itself in denial, I would forever belong to it.

Belong to the rose that is the master's, creator of our race.

Which I dare not defy once more, he cursed me to eternity

Stained holes of regret and sorrow, upon my soul, as our permanent covenant

A mortal life taken for granted, I'll never learn

I did not believe hell was this deep, damnation this utmost

My soul is stamped, it's branded with his own, no refuge can break this of
me

I am not worthy of salvation. This curse I cannot bear, where do I turn?

There's no way to break its hold, a forsaken death, where I have been

Here I waste, condemned to suffer, held by the beauty of his rose
