Run my hands along the outside
the smooth clear exterior of these jars
each one contains different contents
I have bottled up my fears and collected my tears
shelved them so I could preserve the memories
my mind doesn’t work like a steel trap anymore
I have burned out the brain cells that cling to my past
things that I enjoyed when I was younger
all escape me now that I am older

if your lucky a small piece of pleasure
