Killing Me Softly

Killing me softly,
With your tender caress.
Your kisses so sweet,
But I feel them no more.

A message was sent to me,
For us alone to see.
The spirits warned us to
Bind ourselfs in celibacy.
For you the temptation was too great otherwise,
So you inisted we back off,
Lest your resolve be weakened.

This short time we have not touched,
Nor clasped hands,
Nor shared a kiss,
Has been murder to me.
Dont you see in this manner,
Youve been killing me softly?
