goodbye kiss for me to you

do you want to be sure
that i sit alone and cry tonight
that once i'm finally able to fall asleep my pillows a little more drowned
in my tears for you
to make sure that every sudden move i make in my sleep,
im a little more closer to falling off the edge

you want to be sure that i'm lower than you
a little more down on myself
she told him she was sorry
for his own mistakes
she was trying to fix everything, the best way she knew how
and it still wasn't even close to working

her head still rests on the floor
her hands still reaching out for him,
is this slowly falling apart

she said she couldn't take living on the day-to-day love
she needed to know it was there everyday
every time she was down
every time she felt low
everytime she had been abused by her own

she told him that she couldn't take the same kind of abuse from him that she
takes from her father
'cause the day i choose to be with you,i never knew happiness would be a
fight
thought that with him and i, it would always be at our fingertips

It was after he was gone for two weeks and four days
And she didn't receive a warm welcome home,
That she knew their love was slowly going to go

She knew she couldn't keep something that wasn't real
She knew she'd have to suffer so many nights and days alone
He wasn't there to be her blanket
He wasn't there to secure her every insecurity

He said I'm sorry,
I knew we were losing the feeling
Tomorrow I'll be a little more sorry
I knew that in another day it could be the end,
Here have my last kiss
Call it good-bye kiss from me to you
