Maybe the winds will blow a warm gust just once
Maybe the darkness will grow a bright light
Maybe the rain clouds will stop

Maybe the forest of the dead will start to grow alive
Maybe the blood will wash away
And all will become clear like it did back when….

Maybe you’ll see who you were once
Maybe you’ll remember who we were
And maybe you’ll understand how I feel

Maybe the love you once knew will smile again
Maybe your love will be happy with you,
And maybe you’ll kiss him like you did back when

Maybe his sorrow filled eyes will be clear again
Maybe the coldness he is will melt away
Maybe the love will come back to him,
And maybe heal like it did back when

Maybe all his life was a waste
Maybe all his tears that fell were never meant to be
Maybe he is hurt and then again, forever
Maybe he should give up,
Just like he did back when
