my only constant

your presence, it creeps through the tops of the trees
like soft whispers in my ear
letting me know i am not alone
it's me and you
you never leave, man on the moon
i wonder how long it's been you've had to look down on this sad
and sick creation
disturbing all your peace
take me up, let me float around your surface
and swim through your heavenly glow
you've never done any wrong, you just pour all your light down on the
dry souls, luminating the land
you, my only constant, aren't even forever
