The Pleasure is Not All Mine

You must please your mom
Just the way I do mine
Trying to keep our moms happy
Seems to throw us out of line.

I’ve stopped trying to please everyone
Because I know it can never be true
The only people I have to please is
Her, him, them, and you.

Is it the fact
That you’re scared of your mom
Or is it the fact
That you want nothing to go wrong

To tell you the truth
I find your mom terrifying
Every time she opens her mouth
I end up crying.

Sure I may be weak
But there is one thing I’m not
Unlike you
I’m not scared of my mom.
