A fork in the road

As she looked at the path that laid behind
She wondered what was ahead
So many have traveled this road
Now most of them are dead

She kept walking
And came to a fork in the road
One was dark and haunting
The other, green grass, path mowed

Gut instincts said the peaceful path
The other said take the road less traveled
So she closed her eyes and spun around
And pointed to where her fate unraveled

She took the bend with all the trees
And there was a sky so gray
That it made you think of your gloomy times
When you wished nightmares away

She kept walking,ever so scared
And wished someone else was there
But that’s the whole reason she was walking
She thought they didn’t care
