Little Sally Jo was the queen of school
She had all the friends and the looks
And boys fell down to her feet
Just when she said their name,
Everyone loved her
No one hated her
She had everything in life
And it couldn’t have been better
Everyone thought
She had the perfect family
The perfect life
Anything she wanted
But then one day
Her plaster cover cracked
And the world got to see a glimpse of Sally Jo
For the true human being she was
Her life was a living hell
With a father who drank his life away
And a mother she was held away from
Everyday she came home
It was the same
Do her chores and do it right
Never could she make a mistake
For her father drunk and high on drugs
Sat there on the couch
Watching her every move
Making sure she didn’t slip up
For when she did
The next day she caked her face with make-up
To hide from the world
Each and every day
She built up her fury
Over and over in her head she chanted
I hate you I hate you
She expressed her hate for her dad
And it filled her head
Just to hide it from the world
And her cover hard
So the world still wouldn’t see
What a mess Sally Jo had came to be
Her life much a mess
She always held her hate in
Keeping it from the world
Under her plaster cover
Until one day
She came home
And broke her plaster
And she let out her fury and hate
Over and over
19 times in the chest
Of her drunken father
Poets Note..Well I guess you could call this my big come back. Its been
almost 3 weeks since I have submitted anything. I wrote this at about
midnight and it took me quite a while. Well I hope you like. And just to
clear anything before anyone thinks anything, its not a true story.
