It's cold and everything is still
The sky is filled with darkness
The stars don't even glow
It's late as I sit in solitude

My eyes are heavy I can't blink
I try to breathe the air is thick

The warm sweet smell is overwhelming
As is the bitter taste in my mouth and lump in my throat
My fingernails dig into my skin
