Nikki would run and play
All though out the day.
This little fairy child,
To her danger was so mild.
Skipping all about,
Letting out a shout,
Dancing between the rain drops
Climbing the tree tops.
Then one unforgettable day,
She ran into an Elf named Fay.
"How be ye strange one?"
She asked looking for a little fun.
"Fine I am, Strange I am not!"
Fay answered on the spot.
"Aye, from me thou be strange!"
"The comment I can easily exchange."
Nikki eyed her with a queer eye,
A thing like this she couldn't imagine to spy!
"What be ye?" she asked in curiosity.
"I am an Elf named Fay" she answered with generosity.
"Oh! An Elven child ye are? Thine kind I had never seen!"
"My kind go about mostly to be unseen . . ."
"Would thou care to join me in play?"
"I would but only tomorrow meet me at the bay."
Nikki nodded in agreement, "tomorrow at the bay it is!"
And just like that, Fay was off with a whiz.
Nikki was full of excitement and delight
As she climbed into her rose bud that night.
The soft pollen beneath her made for a comfortable bed,
She thought as she sleepily rested her head.
"Tomorrow will soon come to today,
And with Fay I will be able to play!"
She quietly mumbled before she closed her eyes.
