Your Children
You’re children aren’t for Christmas,
You get them all for life!
Don’t throw them in the bin,
When you get a new wife.
All the years they spent alone,
While you sat happy in your home.
You hoping they have gone away,
When really they have gone astray.
Was it really so hard to show you care,
Or was it your life you couldn’t share?
Then wife no. 2 gives you a kid,
Quick, slam down that heavy dustbin lid.
But your past comes back, your children too,
And on that day what will you do?
Maybe they will have a dustbin spare,
Maybe they learnt how not to care.
When in the end God opens his big book,
Will you even dare to look.
He who gave you all that you sow,
May have a dustbin too you know!
