When I was young
You shared your favorite thing
Introduced me to an honorable man
Someone who spoke for hours
Time and again
Week after week
My surroundings glorious
While the ebony and ivory amazed
Once the chatter fell silent
Bursts of melodic rhythm
Engulfed the room
One singing with hands
And one with voice
Joined to melodic heaven
As if one the symphony began
Slow and fast
High and low, soft and loud
The result a mater piece
A pair so perfect
Now one has left
To share the knowledge above
The other to remember
Lessons never lost
He is not gone
Just teaching a bigger
Audience
