Man with the Star

I bit my lip and I plugged my ears
Swore to myself "No nightmares here"
So I once again closed my eyes
And fell into a darkened guise
Of goblins, ghosts and fire so true
Each one represented a part of you
Of hate and greed like other things
And just a vision of what our sorrow brings
When I opened my eyes there was no light
Just a shroweded figure in the night
So I turned around and held the hand
Of this wrinkled and tired, ragged man
He was a man from one of my dreams
Suddenly I wasnt as sad as I once seemed
For in his eyes there was a star
The only one I had seen so far
And he told me I could wish on him
Whenever sleep was wearing thin
And he would come to me when devils appeared
From out of the blue and into my air
So my once was monster turned out to be
Just another part of me
