A walk...

I took myself for a walk today
To see what we might find
But from myself I went astray
And left me far behind.

Through the woods I made my way
Myself was lost in thought
Thinking about many other days
And what the future brought

I stopped beside a little stream
Myself felt right at home
We talked and laughed about her dreams
But we did it all alone...

The sun went down behind the trees
As another day went by
Sitting in the winter breeze
Admiring the sky

I pulled myself together
And walked back to be with me
If she wasn't where we left her
We knew where she would be...
