As I sit and wait for her, if only she could see the joy I would bring and
how happy we'd both be. Her Mother was a friend of mine but that was
long ago we often had long talks and walks and she loved me so.

She'd comb my hair and wash my face and tuck me into bed singing
lullabies in my ear her hair was beautifully Red. My hair's a mess I
must confess my shoes are worn to shred my dress is torn from being old but
it's still a lovely red. I'm covered in a lot of dust and I no
longer have a glow if you come and pick me up I'd gladly say hello.

My Mommy said to me you would me bring lots of joy we'd have long
walks and long talks you'd be my favorite toy. I promise I'll be
good to you and sing you lullabies I'll wash your face and comb your
hair are those real tears in you're eyes?

Oh little girl eyes of green how I love you so you see we look like your
mommy and me more than she'll ever know.
