Black eyes look outward
Look upward
With out purpose
Only with sorrow
With an unsolvable pain
Looking across crashing waves
As the sky turns for blue from purple to red
Like the rose of her beloved
Their words were written in the sun
But as she sweeps her hands across the sand were he had stood once
It was never more
His words sounding the silence in her heart
Rang the pain as she would hear his voice never more
Remembering their soft kisses as the sun fell to the west and the moon began
to rise
She saw his shadow dancing on dune panted white by the moon
And there she saw his face reflected in youth
But has the string of her harp played he was still never more
Was he forever to be her solemn memory?
Or will it ever be just their words written across the moon
As though he touched her with his hand it was all just their sorrow written
across the moon
As his lonely shadow ligers ever watching her on the dune painted white by
the moon
Their story was just more words to be written across the moon.
