In the midst of a troubled world
where the tranquility of peace
is threatened by random
acts of terrorism
uncertainty for the future
leaves us to question...

When the storms of life is raging
natural disasters threatened our land
We are left destitute and alone
looking around, we find no relief
from the fear that torments us
leaves us to question...
Does Jesus care?

When the ravages of famine
and hunger pain grips our children
countries tormented by the AIDS epidemic
They scavenged the garbage
for a morsel of crumb which satisfy not
leaves us to question...
Does Jesus care?

When our teenagers walk the streets
in dire need of Love
only to be taken advantage of
by cold blooded perpetrators
another body found dead in the gutter
Leaves us to question
Does Jesus care?

When on the sidewalk He sits
Cold and alone, a thin blanket wrapped
around his frailed body
desperate for another fix... He held
his tracked covered arms out to you
Leaves us to question
Does Jesus care?

You asked ...
Does Jesus truly cares?
Oh Yes He cares

Behold! His nail scarred hands
Behold! His face as he looks you
in the eyes and utter these words...

For you my child I labored with each breath
as I lay dying, wracked with pain, anguish

For you my child I went as a lamb to the slaughter
so that you could go free
