The Windflower

The tall grass sways in the field
Where colorful flowers follow entwined.

Stern and strong, but soft and sweet
The grass upholds and keeps the stem.

Wildflowers reaching up to the sky
Where sun and warmth are there to bask.

Never before allowed to bloom
The flower now sings its colors aloud.

Now the wind and grass are one
Caressing and loving the flower that blooms.

Without the grass, the flower will bend
The colors will fade and the fragrance leave.

Forever entwined in love and support
Forever to grow as one in the wind.
