a voice of a nation

the sun hits the bodies of all that have died
all those soldiers who lay there with nothingness in there eyes
there bodies were frozen-cold to the touch
once news breaks through so many will be crushed
there hearts run now empty there life just gone
how quickly it all happened?
How quickly others have just went along?
Families are now heart broken
they feel there's nothing left
they want to say something but they don't want to waste there breath
but the voice of a nation spoke after they opened there eyes
they finally saw what they did
saw how many people were killed and treated so uncivilized
there leader finally spoken
just a few words
but his ignorance only made his people angry
forced there voices to be heard
his people finally listened but it wasn't his voice
they heard the voice of the others
it was of all those who came together
be louder so it wasn't ignored
they wanted something so simple
something we all need
they wanted our men to come home and stay away from all this suffering
but the leader was deaf to the simple wish
they were pushed aside angry and extremely pissed
they knew he wouldn't listen
that they would be pushed aside
but they had to make a difference
but somehow it was only seen through there eyes
