The passion contained within each kiss
Was unavoidable
I pause and whisper "I love you"
You hold me close "I love you too"
At that point I wanted time to stop
Your sweet lips collide with mine
But over time
Things changed
Feelings replaced
When I look in your eyes
We connect
Without words
We share our lives
Between that one look
Secrets being traded
Emotions being shared
Yet now, I've moved on
I cannot bring myself to tell you though
Knowing too much about you
I know what would hurt
I cannot go back
We can still be friends
But those feelings have faded
