when she returned that summer
the walls still resided in the same pale green
the bed made the same constant clatter

she remembered how he was
he still conned her into the same things
things so ungodly and so unproper
she blew everything away with him
but oh how she loved to,

he still sweats on the same arch of his back
still longs to be kissed on the same nape of his neck ,
and oh how he melts when she does this

but this time he's denying his emotions
turning from the long distance phone calls
and by making me feel useless, so low
he needs to he told them
to make sure she's forever mine

she can't run to him
if she knows she's unbeautiful
because i tell her so,
they know she hangs on his every word

he says, really i just dont want them
to take my last grip on this world
i won't leave her behind
i won't bare to let her go

if you knew how i needed her
i need her to frown for me
when i want her to smile
and cry when she deserves to laugh

i need her to fall when i attempt to lift her
i need to lessen her standards
so she'll be with me for a little longer

she'll lay down on the silver blankets
the one's i've layed out for her
with all my pretty words

he says, i dont need to turn and walk to you
because when i look behind your already running
with your body falling helplessly in front of you
your legs cant bare to keep up

and for each step you take
your reaching for me, but your left with no reward
because he has no time to care, no time for one last hug
