i stand there in the snow
pouring words into your heart
but they just fall into the cracks of the old wooden floor
you look so different now
the smile has faded
your saddened eyes look tired
now-so jaded
what happened to your gentle laugh
the solid character i once knew
tell me your story
what you've been through
come into the sunlight
its so cold there in the dark
take my hand for warmth
feel my heart
cry those tears
of wonders dear
dry them on my sleeve
know that i am by your side
and ill never ever leave
