Will You?

Will you shed a million tears with nothing to say
Or dry your eyes and find a better way?

Will you turn and walk away and let your story go untold
Or stand firm and speak out loud and bold?

Will you walk past the homeless and pretend He's not there
or join hands with the remnant, his burden you bear?

Will you seek out revenge on others just for spite
Or curse the wrong and stand up for right?

Will you tell a white lies to cover your mistakes
Or stand up for the truth even though your heart breaks?

Will you close your eyes in the face of unjustice
Or let your voice be heard in the midst of this?

Will you lag behind in total disgrace
Or rejoin the pace and lead the human race?

Will you wrestle with foes and neverending guilt
Or measure wealth by the friendships you built?

Will you continue living life with unforgiving pain
Or sacrifice when nothing's left to gain?

Will you envision the golden sun through the rain
Or close your eyes and live on in vain?
