It’s amber and very cold here in Michigan.
With the maples and oaks slowly changing colors.
Next week, maybe the four of us can drive out to the cider mills in
Ypsilanti.
Get apples and sugared donuts.
Maybe we’ll buy pumpkins too,
And carve them once we get home.
Our cheeks with be pink for the air.
It will compliment your pretty brown eyes.
Just think of all those rows of apple trees,
With their twisted branches and ripe fruits hanging down.
