Running, jumping, dodging
All for a boy
The adrenaline rushing through your body
It’s a risky business
Being broke and bored
But it’s the life we live
Stripping in the middle of nowhere
For all to see
But when the eyes of authority turn upon you
It’s all over
Gone back to sit in the cold
To make pointless phone calls
And get high off those legal drugs
Until you see the faces of those new
And those you have lost
As the orange moon sets
You dwell on the thoughts
Of the boy
Who made you happy on those cool summer nights
Who made it seem as it no harm had ever been done to you
You wonder where is he now?
As you close your heart once again
And drift to sleep in the cold autumn leaves
The world keeps turning
Still nothing seems right
